KMTV goes LIVE to hundreds of thousands of homes

PRESS RELEASE:  10th July 2017

TV MADE FOR KENT:  KMTV goes LIVE to hundreds of thousands of homes

A brand new TV channel dedicated to Kent is now live on Freeview and Virgin media, broadcasting twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.

A partnership between the University of Kent and the KM media group, KMTV is the 30th channel to launch in the local TV network and will draw on its owners’ experience of providing exceptional education opportunities and quality print, digital and broadcast services across Kent.

A dynamic launch schedule features flagship news programme Kent Tonight live at 5.30pm each weekday, created by a team of reporters based across the county.  Other live local programmes celebrate business, politics and sport.  And to start the day, KMTV cameras are at KMFM bringing you Kent’s favourite breakfast show with Garry and Laura.  Elsewhere viewers can expect classic British movies, and a range of handpicked content from fitness to cooking, music to documentary.

As a commercial channel in a national network, KMTV offers bespoke TV advertising to local businesses at high street prices, with unique opportunities to create funded programming that’s only allowed on local TV.  Owned and run in Kent, KMTV wants to celebrate the county and what’s going on.  You can stay up to date wherever you are at  , or follow us on social.
